Where Real Estate Gets Its Dirt

All 130 members of Madera Assn of REALTORS choose calREDD!!

According to a press release issued by CAR, four local associations including Fresno, Lake County, San Joaquin Valley (the Gateway to Yosemite), and Madera Assn. have signed up with calREDD. This represents about 3,500 of the 180,000 members (1.9%) of California Assn. of REALTORS.

From what I’m told Concentric Software (calREDD’s MLS Vendor) will not be their primary MLS system but run in parallel with their existing MLS systems.

I’m curious to know what MLS vendor these associations are currently using. If you know, please comment.

Madera County Association of REALTORS® 2009 President E’Mira Torres commented in the press release…
““We were searching for a new MLS system that provides an innovative way of sharing property information data, is on the leading edge of technology, and is cost-effective and user-friendly,…”

Congrats Concentric!

  1. Another parallel system. Exciting times in California.

    Rapattoni
Fresno – (the Lion’s share of the 3,500)

    Paragon
    Gateway
    Lake County
    Madera

  2. So what does that mean – They are paying for 2 systems now instead of one? Boy that is saving money!!!!!

  3. “an innovative way of sharing property information data” – I agree that sharing is going to be a big theme for internet real estate going forward.

    organize. share. discuss.

  4. Interesting press release.

I suppose this also means that these boards are planning to dissolve their existing MLSs since the calREDD model is one single MLS board of directors and one set of rules, and simply retail the calREDD MLS services to their members.

That’s a big step, especially given the lack of a proven MLS product from Concentric.

I’m sure the volunteer leaders of these boards will reap the benefits of this decision by getting appointed to important committee assignments at the State Association. That’s understandable when the decision is based on politics.

  5. Not impressed with CalREDD at the moment. I’ve used Rapattoni, MLXchange, MLSListings, Paragon, and a couple of other MLS’s in the past. CalREDD is the worst one. It is slow and also missing simple functionality that can be found in all of the above mentioned MLS’s. Fresno made a big mistake by switching over from a far greater system in Rapattoni.

Good luck with adding future associations CalREDD.

“I’m sure the volunteer leaders of these boards will reap the benefits of this decision by getting appointed to important committee assignments at the State Association. That’s understandable when the decision is based on politics.”(Not now..since the President of CAR sent a state wide email ..stating how disappointed they were in the BOD’s of FAR..no perts now!)

That happen…at FAR…they lost the trust of many many FAR members…an if they do not quit..most will not be voted in again..
Not that they probably want to…it is a thankless job..and only a few had much to gain!
and YES…we are back with Rapattoni who has severed us well for 10 years…and is always undating their system…When and if..
Calredd ever does make it…Rapattoni will
be one of leading the Software companies to choose from…but not until their system us tested and proven….unlike Concentric..

Concentric let the BOD’s of FAR down as well as Calredd..
