Where Real Estate Gets Its Dirt

REColorado sends “cease and desist” to Trelora for posting commission for all area homes.

REcolorado tells Trelora to shut down broker-commission database

“REcolorado, the Denver metro area’s multiple-listing service, has sent a cease-and-desist emailed letter directing residential brokerage Trelora to shut down a database it launched last week revealing the buyer-broker commissions of every listed home on the Denver market.”

Classic! I wonder how long before Redfin copies this! It will be interesting how this plays out.

Also in case you didn’t figure it out “Trelora” is a letter scramble of “Realtor”.

A couple of vendor friends have reached out to me about Bob’s passing. Any vendor over the last 10 to 15 years doing business in Florida had worked with Bob. For some reason I always thought he had been an actor previously. He kind had that old school “leading man” look. Just recently Katie and I worked with him on getting Cloud CMA available in the Naples area. Such a loss to the industry, he really cared and gave a lot. I’m sure everyone shares my heart felt condolences for his family. May he rest in peace.

I want my Cloud __________!

Hack WeekIn December 2014 W&R Studios did a “Hack Week”. The premise was to pick two product ideas, have the ideas be worked on 2 teams of developers, and then see what they come up with.

The two products chosen were:

Cloud MLX – An alternative front end to MLS systems.

Cloud Open House – A beautiful way to track your Open House from start to finish.

In this 4 part series you got to meet the developers, their backgrounds and how they approached the challenge. W&R Studios also recorded a live raw video of their final presentations to “pitch” their product to the company.

In Part 4, W&R Studios is asking people to vote on the product they would like to see built. There’s a great recap video and you can also check up on previous “Hack Week” posts. It was a lot of fun, hope you enjoy.

W&R Studios’ “Hack Week” – Part 4. Vote!

Bob Gottesman leaving RESO as Executive Director

This is a bummer. RESO has made some giant steps since Bob step in to this role. Looks like RESO will begin searching for a replacement.

Gee, wouldn’t it be cool if there was a place you to post real estate industry related jobs? Oh wait, there is
