Where Real Estate Gets Its Dirt

Inman Real Estate Connect Pre-Party….

Got together with John Hensley, Sam Scott, and Rene Galvan yesterday for a great day of golf and libations. The shot above was taken on a rooftop bar in Laguna Beach where we rubbed elbows with d-list celebrities.

“Doesn’t that guy over there host that show on HGTV?”

Sam and Rene were kind enough to introduce me to some of their “Texas traditions”. Needless to say these guys know how to have a great time as we all make our way north to San Francisco.

STU SIEGEL JOINS OWNERSHIP GROUP OF
THE FLORIDA PANTHERS

Sunrise Sports & Entertainment adds to its Dynamic Leadership Team

SUNRISE, Fla. – Sunrise Sports & Entertainment (SSE), the organization that owns the Florida Panthers and operates the BankAtlantic Center, is pleased to announce Stu Siegel has joined the ownership group led by general partner Alan Cohen. Siegel will be taking on the operating roles of Managing Director of SSE and Chairman of the Florida Panthers Foundation, the philanthropic arm of SSE.

“It’s more than just an honor to become a part of the Sunrise Sports & Entertainment Team,” said Siegel. “It’s literally a dream come true, as I have aspired to join the ownership of a NHL team for many years. I look forward to working closely with the group at SSE, the Panthers and the Panthers Foundation to enhance our prestigious reputation and involvement in our community.”

Siegel, founder and former CEO of Boca Raton based eNeighborhoods, Inc. – one of the fastest growing technology companies for the real estate industry – has been a hockey fanatic since childhood. Siegel started playing ice hockey at an early age, played for the University of Pennsylvania all four years he attended, and continues to play today in a South Florida men’s league. Siegel has been very involved in philanthropic causes, primarily through the private foundation he formed with his wife Jill over a decade ago.

“Sunrise Sports & Entertainment is honored to have Stu take such an active leadership role within the ownership group,” said Alan Cohen, Chairman, CEO and general partner of SSE. “His impressive track record of success speaks for itself. However, it’s his ability to stay connected to the core community while at the same time focusing on key initiatives that will provide further opportunities for growth and development of SSE, the Panthers and our foundation.”

The Florida Panthers Foundation has a mission to assist non-profit organizations which focus on health care, education and cultural needs of children and families through corporate partnerships, philanthropic grants and unique resources. Through teamwork, interaction and dedication, the Florida Panthers Foundation works to bring together a wealth of talent on and off the ice to build a better future for the people of South Florida.
