Here’s the money quote from Inman’s Article on this:

“Wolff’s attorneys maintained that he should receive the lightest possible sentence possible under the agreement because he signed off on the scheme but did not initiate it.”

You gotta give it up to Stuart he is very innovative, he turned the old: “I was only following orders” defense, to the brand new “I was only giving orders!”
