He was born on December 22nd 2004. He was a healthy beautiful baby boy. I wanted to name him Coltrane, but my wife thought that was crazy so we settled on Cole. After a couple days in the hospital we came home on Christmas Eve.
The house smelled like Christmas, and filled with bright decorations. An extra stocking already hung on the mantel.
Still sleeping in his car seat, I placed Cole under the Christmas tree. I haven’t been the same since.
