Where Real Estate Gets Its Dirt

NNRMLS joins MLS Aligned

Northern Nevada Regional Multiple Listing Service Joins MLS Aligned
Approximately 100,000 Real Estate Professionals Now Represented Within the MLS Aligned Network

According to Matthew Consalvo (CEO of ARMLS), “MLS Aligned is all about collaboration, outside-the-box thinking, and relationships. We are innovating at a lightning speed and are regularly exploring opportunities and strategies to improve MLS.”

Discussing his organization’s decision to join MLS Aligned, Gene Millman (CEO of NNRMLS), said “Our organization discussed MLS Aligned’s mission and its products with our staff and our directors, and it was clear to us that we wanted to be a part of this great opportunity to collaborate and shape the future of the MLS industry. We can’t wait to participate in the product development and to use the new tools available.”

This is interesting. MLS Aligned has more of a license model and doesn’t require ownership like The MLS Grid. This gives me the motivation to catch up on how these different MLS initiatives are shaping up.

Bill Andrews leaves Remine Annette Sheffler leaves SentriLock, both headed for Black Knight

Bill Andrews, and maybe at this point I should clarify, Bill Andrews Sr. since he has made this industry a family affair. His son Bill Andrews is National Sales Manager- MLS relations at RateMyAgent and his other son, Ryan Andrews is Director of MLS relations at LionDesk. ????

Bill Sr. has joined Black Knight, this is after joining Remine back is October 2019. Bill has worked for several companies in the industry, I think it goes something like this. Rapattoni, Tarasoft, CoreLogic, Zillow, Remine, a little consulting, and now Black Knight.

Also, fellow DeVry grad, Annette Sheffler, has left SentriLock and joined Black Knight as a product consultant.

I’m also hearing rumors about one or two others that could be making moves. Don’t know who or where yet, seems like the powers to be haven’t taken their finger off the chess piece yet.

Great to see that Black Knight is not sitting still during this crazy time and making investments in what matters most, good people.

New Realist includes API for broker use

Leads, Love and Loyalty: Property-Centric Websites Consumers Can’t Resist

“Realist® is a property intelligence platform used by more than 860,000 professionals across the U.S., offering a holistic mix of proprietary, public record, listing and other property data for 99.9 percent of U.S. parcels. Realist offers the kind of in-depth property data consumers love—and it’s now available to use on broker websites for the very first time.

That’s right. CoreLogic® has just released an all-new version of Realist that includes an API for broker use. Now, brokers can easily obtain rich property data for their locale and publish it on their website. By giving consumers full property details for every home in their market, broker websites will rise in the search rankings and attract qualified web traffic. It’s a fantastic, low-cost way to create leads, brand stickiness and consumer loyalty.”

Hearing good things about the new Realist.

3 Oregon MLS providers switch to Flexmls

Three Oregon MLS’s announce shared MLS database and transition to the Flexmls® Platform

”MLS of Central Oregon (MLSCO), the Southern
Oregon MLS (SOMLS), and the Klamath County Association of REALTORS® (KCAR) announce new joint MLS database and group transition to FBS’ Flexmls® Platform. Highlighting flexibility and partnership as key decision drivers, the three MLS’s serve approximately 4,000 members covering 44% of the Oregon market.”

4,000 members. Nice.

BAREIS waives member dues for 3 quarter

BAREIS MLS® Issues Full-Quarter Fee Waiver for Members

“As a Broker owned MLS, BAREIS has a long history of returning money to its members in the form of fee waivers. This will be the 12th time in their 22-year history that fee waivers have been issued to members.”

A few MLS organizations have put together similar programs, HAR comes to mind, as well as GAMLS. Each MLS is different so it’s completely understandable that many MLS organizations have come up with different ways to help their members.

Its been great to see how the MLS community has stepped up with offering new methods to receive training and support. Also loving how vendors are building new products or enhancing existing products to deal with these new circumstances we find ourselves in.

We are all in this together.

Daily Dispatch with Brad Inman

Daily Dispatch: What might the MLS of tomorrow look like?

“In this Daily Dispatch, Brad is joined by Lacey Conway, Principal Broker and President at Latter & Blum Companies, David Charron, real estate industry advisor, and Greg Robertson, co-founder of W+R Studios. When these four brilliant real estate minds come together, there’s bound to be some controversy: What is the value of the MLS today, and what can MLSs do to define their value proposition?”

Honored to be asked to join Brad Inman on his show. I had a great conversation with Lacey and David while poking fun at Brad and Inman News’ obsession with the “death of MLS”.
