Frank Major, trailblazer who carved path as Bright MLS’s first CTO, dies
“It is with great sadness that I share some unexpected news with the real estate community regarding the loss of one of our beloved colleagues,” Donnellan wrote.
“This past Thursday, Bright MLS Chief Technology Officer Frank Major passed away suddenly. Our hearts are with his wife Aisha, their children, and their extended family. Please keep them in your thoughts.”
What a gut punch. So young. Dan and I have had a few great conversations with Frank over the years. My condolences go out to his family.
I had the chance of collaborating with Frank over the past few months as we worked together on the launch of MLS-Touch. In our meetings, Frank was always composed, and when he spoke, you could tell he had given the matter careful thought. My deepest condolences go out to his family, the team at Bright, and his friends within the industry.
His passing is a reminder that our work in real estate is important . We serve thousands of agents who, in turn, help families find their homes. So yes, it is serious, but it’s important that we don’t take ourselves too seriously. Life is short. Play Hard.
