Where Real Estate Gets Its Dirt

Bright MLS appoints first Chief AI Officer, Rajeev Sajja.

Bright MLS Appoints Rajeev Sajja as First Chief Artificial Intelligence Officer

“AI can no longer be a feature on the side of the MLS; it has to be built into the core of how we manage listings, deliver insights, and support our subscribers’ businesses,” said Brian Donnellan, Bright MLS President & CEO. “Rajeev brings a rare combination of deep real estate experience and technology vision to this new role that will help us turn AI into real, everyday advantages for the professionals who rely on Bright.”

Rajeev and I were both speakers at a recent Bright MLS board of directors meeting so I got to see him speak live. Super smart and I Ioved his presentation. As Brian mentioned he has the perfect mix of experience for this role. Congrats Rajeev!

Welcome Kelly Robinson to the Cotality Real Estate Solutions Team

“Kelly is a respected technology leader in the MLS industry with more than two decades of experience driving innovation, client success, and growth. Brian Groth joins MetroList as Director of Sales and Marketing

MetroList taps Brian Groth as director of sales and marketing

“Throughout his career, Brian has been widely recognized for his ability to drive growth and retention at scale. He has developed and delivered educational programs across a six-state footprint, conducted live and virtual training sessions for thousands of real estate professionals, and created innovative resources that elevated manager and agent performance.

In his new role at MetroList, Brian will lead sales and marketing initiatives designed to strengthen MetroList’s position as the trusted source for real estate data and technology solutions across Northern California. He will work closely with brokers, agents, and industry partners to enhance engagement and expand MetroList’s market presence”

As MLS organizations adjust to their new value propositions, many are realizing they need to expand their outreach to their membership. I mentioned this in a previous post as “pivoting to the front lines.” Brian looks well-suited to the role.

Andrea Brambila joins Real Estate News

Big news from Real Estate News: An important addition

“Many of you know Andrea as someone who has covered the real estate industry since 2009, specializing in legal and policy issues affecting associations, MLSs and brokerages. Her award-winning journalism, previously for Inman, is widely seen as accurate, fair and thorough.

I’d like to invite you to read Andrea’s first piece for RealEstateNews.com — an exclusive interview with Anne Marie DeCatsye, one of the industry’s strongest advocates for Realtor associations and MLSs to operate independently. As CEO of an association and MLS, it’s an opportunity she is well-equipped to recognize. “

So glad to see Andrea find a new home. As a loyal reader and big fan I’m stoked she decided to stay in the real estate space. My hope is that RealEstateNews.com lets Andrea do the type of reporting she is known for, yes she may ruffle some feathers from time to time, but LET ANDREA COOK!

York Baur, former CEO of MoxiWorks joins Lone Wolf

MoxiWorks Founder York Baur joins Lone Wolf as chief industry relations officer

“Baur is best known for his role as founding CEO of MoxiWorks, a real estate software platform that now supports over 800 brokerages and 400,000 agents. Baur stepped down as CEO of MoxiWorks in 2024.”

Even in an industry known for vendors jumping ship and joining former rivals, York joining Lone Wolf takes the cake. Having York rep Cloud CMA is still something I’m still wrapping my head around. 🤯

But make no mistake, this is a huge win for Lone Wolf and its customers. York is a fun, knowledgeable, and pragmatic, who knows the broker technology services market cold. Grab the popcorn.
